Almancil is a small town and a community (about 11,100 inhabitants) in the county of Loulé.

Almancil is situated west of Faro and is well signposted on the N125 as well as in Quarteira.
Already during the Old Stone Age people have settled in this clime. The town has been founded at the time of the Moorish dominion.
Almancil is the shopping town for the resorts >Vale do Lobo< and >Quinta do Lago<. Here you find all necessities.
