Conceição is a small town and a former community (about 4,500 inhabitants) in the county of Faro. In 2013 the communities of Conceição and Estói merged into the new community of União das Freguesias de Conceição e Estói. The administration of this community is in Conceição.

The place is about 6 km north of Faro by the N2.
The municipal administration (Câmara Municipal) of the county. Several shops, the post office, banks, cafés and restaurants are situated in the town.
Big parts of the locality consist of stand-alone and town houses. The inhabitants mainly work in farming or have a job in the near Faro.
Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição
The Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição was built in the early 16th century.

In the 18th and 20th century the church was being renovated and reconstructed several times.
