Parchal is a small town in the county of Lagoa and was un independent community (about 4,100 inhabitants) until the year 2013. Due to a communal reorganization it forms together with Estômbar today the União das Freguesias de Estômbar e Parchal.
Coordinates: 37° 8′ N, 8° 31′ W
The place is situated by the eastern riverside of the Rio Arade and is signposted from the N125 on.
Igreja Matriz do Parchal
The laying of the cornerstone was in March 1989 and in April 1990 the church was inaugurated. In November 2017, the sanctuary was re-equipped and inaugurated.
